Quick answers

Getting started

How does it work?

We start with a quick call about your business. I build your website and show it to you, usually in about 1 week. If you love it, you pay and I launch it. If it's not for you, you walk away and owe nothing.

What happens if I walk away?

You owe nothing, and that's it. The draft stays the property of Loftwell Digital and won't be launched, handed over or given to anyone else. No risk to you, and no hard feelings.

Do I pay anything up front?

No. You don't pay a cent until you've seen your finished site and love it.

How long does it take?

Most sites are ready to show you in about 1 week, as long as I get your text and photos within a few days of our first call.

What do I need to give you?

Your logo (if you have one), photos, your business info, and anything you'd like the site to say. Don't have much written? No problem. I'll help write it for free.

Is it just you?

Yes. I'm a one-person studio, so you work with me directly from start to finish. I only take a few projects at a time so every client gets my full attention.

Pricing

How much does a website cost?

A Full Website is $700 and a Website Refresh is $400. My first 5 clients get $100 off ($600 or $300) in exchange for an honest review.

What counts as a page?

A page is one part of your site with its own link, like Home, About, Services, Gallery or Contact. Each page is a standard layout of up to about 6 sections (for example: a header, intro, services, photos, reviews and a contact area), not an endless scroll. Both packages include up to 5 pages, which is plenty for most local businesses. Need more? Extra pages are $50 each, so a 10-page site is your package price plus $250. Extra-long pages are quoted up front.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The only other cost is your domain name (about $15 a year), which you buy yourself so it's always yours. I don't use paid plugins, and if a feature ever needs a paid tool, I'll tell you the cost first.

What if I need more?

Extra pages are $50 each. Features that need a database or live accounts, like online stores and checkout, member logins, booking systems or custom search filters, aren't part of the flat price. They need custom planning and sometimes a paid outside tool, so I'll quote them up front, and it's always your choice.

How do I pay?

When you approve your finished site, I send you a secure payment link. You pay by card, and then I launch your site.

Hosting, domain and ownership

Is hosting included?

Yes. Hosting is free for every standard website, which covers everything in my packages, whether or not you have a care plan. You never pay a hosting company like GoDaddy. If you later add features that need paid hosting, like an online store, customer logins or a database, I'll tell you the cost first, and it's always your choice. Every site also comes with secure https (the padlock), so browsers never show a "Not Secure" warning. The only thing you buy is your domain name (about $15 a year). That's different from hosting: hosting is where your site lives (free from me), and your domain is your site's address, like yourbusiness.com, which you own.

Is hosting free, or do I have to pay $39 a month?

Hosting is free. Your site stays online whether or not you ever buy a care plan. The monthly plans are optional and only cover me doing work for you after launch, like edits, updates and backups.

Is hosting free forever, or just the first year?

It's not a trial. Standard hosting stays free for as long as your site is live, with no first-year catch and no surprise bill later. If that ever changes, I'll give you at least 60 days' notice and help you move your site.

Do I need to buy a domain?

Yes. A domain is your website's name, like yourbusiness.com. You buy it yourself (about $15 a year) so it's always in your name and under your control. I'll walk you through it step by step and connect it to your site for free. Here's the step-by-step domain guide.

Can I keep the design if I don't pay?

No. Until it's paid in full, the design, previews and code belong to Loftwell Digital, and I don't hand over files, logins or connect your domain until payment clears. That's what keeps "build it first" fair for both of us. Anything you gave me, like your logo, photos and text, always stays yours. See my project terms.

Who owns my website?

You do, 100%, once it's paid for. Your site is built with standard code that any web designer can edit, and if you ever want to move on, I'll hand over all your files.

What if you stop doing websites?

You'll never be stuck. If I ever stop offering care plans, you get at least 60 days' notice and everything you need to keep your site running.

Changes and care

What are "2 rounds of changes"?

After you see your site, you can send me a list of changes. I make them and show you again, and you get one more round after that. A round is one list sent together.

After 2 rounds, it's decision time. You can approve the site and pay, add more rounds of changes (I'll quote them up front, and they're paid before I start), or walk away and owe nothing. If you walk away, the design isn't launched or handed over. This keeps things fair for both of us.

What do monthly care plans include?

Basic ($39) covers updates, backups, downtime monitoring and 1 small edit a month. Growth ($99) adds up to 5 small edits, monthly Google and speed checks, and a report. Pro ($199) adds 1 new page or 2 blog posts a month, seasonal promos, priority support and a quarterly strategy call. Cancel anytime.

What counts as a small edit?

A small edit is a quick update to what's already on your site that takes about 15 minutes or less, like changing your hours, swapping a photo, updating a price or fixing a typo. New sections, new pages and redesigns aren't edits. I'll quote those up front. Extra small edits beyond what your plan includes are $35 each. See how edits work for the full breakdown.

Do I need a care plan?

No. It's optional, and your site stays online for free either way. Without a plan, small edits are $35 each (paid before I start), bigger changes are quoted up front, and your site doesn't get updates, backups or monitoring. With a plan, edits are included, I keep everything backed up and watched, and plan members always come first. For example, 3 edits a month would be $105 without a plan, while Growth includes 5 edits for $99, plus monitoring, backups and Google checks.

What if I need changes later?

You have options. When your site launches, I show you how it works and give you simple directions. For changes, you can join a monthly care plan and I'll handle them for you, or just text me what you need. Without a plan, small edits are $35 each and bigger changes are quoted up front, so there's never a surprise bill.

Do unused edits roll over?

No, edits are use-it-or-lose-it. They reset every month and don't save up. For example, if you skip 3 months on Basic, you still get 1 edit the next month, not 3. A small edit is a quick update of about 15 minutes or less. Need several changes at once? Send them over and I'll quote them, or move up to Growth for 5 edits a month.

Google, security and accessibility

Will my site show up on Google?

I set up the basics so Google can find and understand your site: page titles, descriptions and fast mobile loading. I can also help with your free Google Business Profile. But no one can honestly guarantee a #1 ranking. That takes time.

Is my website accessible?

Every site is built with accessibility basics: readable colors, screen-reader labels and keyboard-friendly navigation.

What about privacy?

Every site includes a simple privacy policy page. Sites don't use tracking cookies unless you ask for them.

Will my contact form get spam?

Every form I build includes hidden spam traps that block most bots automatically. If spam ever becomes a problem, I can add an extra verification step at no cost.

Is there a limit on how many messages my form can get?

No. The form service I use is free and doesn't cap how many messages you can receive each month, so you'll never miss a customer because of a limit.

What if my site gets hacked or goes down?

Simple, modern sites like mine are very hard to hack, and I keep care-plan sites updated. If anything ever breaks, I'll work with you to fix it fast. My project terms include a clear limitation of liability, so both of us know exactly where responsibility starts and stops.

Ready to see your website?

No money up front. You only pay if you love it.
